This is a small update simply because my activity on X this week was limited. Because I have been brainstorming and trying to find ideas for my scicomm article, I have been reading a lot of current news and recently published studies from researchers on X to get some ideas. Although I did not end up using any of the studies they had shared in their feed, Dog Cognition SE is very informative and shares new studies about both wild and domesticated dogs.

During my search, I learned of two super interesting scientific discoveries that have happened in the world! I shared about a new species of gecko that was discovered as well as orangutans using medicinal plants to heal their wounds. I think I sometimes forget that animals also have a very complex understanding of their environment and how to survive; they learn as well. I also shared a NatGeo article about free-ranging dogs that I am using for my scicomm article. It's been extremely beneficial for me to get an understanding of how stray dogs are being handled in Morocco, which I will be writing about. That's all the X updates for now!

Check out my research agenda to know more about the scicomm article!
